Development and Me

Empower in simple English can be said to be;

GIVE POWER TO, AUTHORIZE ................

Give power to someone to achieve a goal/aim. Give a person the strength to do something.

Here at W.TEC one of their major aim is to empower young women/females at different age levels in order for them to influence their society positively.

For me, as a participant and beneficiary of this project, some of the ways i'll employ to empower other women include;

• Through our Expanding horizons project in DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP INTERNATIONAL. developmentpartnership.org

  
  

• By empowering our gender coordinator, which will in turn reach out to other women through her programmes. And also, other young female members through our in-house capacity building programmes.

  
  

• Through seminars and symposiums organized in schools. From secondary to University levels. The major focus will be; Women and ICT in the 21st century.

  
  

• And also, as an aspiring Executive Director of the organisation, put up a monthly programme to educate young women on the importance of ICT in the development of their career and life in general.
